What we believe...

Jubilee Fellowship Church is a vibrant spiritual family that is devoted to the practice of Christianity as taught by the apostles of Christ Jesus and sharing the good news of the transforming power of the Gospel of Christ. We just happen to be Anglican.

Rooted deeply in being a Christ-centered community, Jubilee is dedicated to God’s dynamic mission, aimed at touching hearts locally and beyond with the transformative message of the Gospel, fostering spiritual change, and living by faith in Spirit-filled ways.

WHAT IS AN ANGLICAN?

Of course, maybe you haven’t even heard of the Anglican Church. Here’s how we describe it:

The Anglican Church is a biblically based church with ancient roots that helps us grow as followers of Jesus and serve Him as Christians in the world.

Anglican Churches are connected churches. As a parish, we are connected locally with a group of churches in a diocese, the Anglican Diocese of the South.

Our diocese is connected with other dioceses in a province. And our province, the Anglican Church in North America, is connected with other Anglicans all over the globe.

As an Anglican Church our theological beliefs and commitments are in line with our diocese and province. We embrace and are held accountable to the theological statement of the Anglican Church in North America.

We are a church for the sake of others

Our faith affirmed

We affirm both the Apostle’s Creed and the Nicene Creed. These are two expressions of what followers of Jesus have believed for centuries, and lay out the essentials of the Christian faith: Believing in God the Father (YHWH, the God of the Hebrew Bible and New Testament Scriptures, the Creator of all things), believing in God the Son (Jesus as both Savior and Lord of all), believing in God the Holy Spirit (God with us today, living in and through the Church of Jesus), and other specifics. Both of these documents are truly worth 10 minutes of your time, so click the links and read through them.

Our affirmation of what they teach leads us to actively pursue following Jesus today, loving and worshiping God the Father, Son, and Spirit in thought, word, and action. This love and worship of God is chiefly displayed in how we treat one another, our neighbors, and our enemies. As you read through our Core Commitments, you’ll see this unpacked a bit more.
